Join us on Wednesday April 18 at 8 pm in the Pozen Center for Interrelated Media (621 Huntington Ave.) Free Admission. Eventworks is glad to be featuring works of new music by Mohammed Fairouz and Adam Ackerman performed by emerging artists from the New England Conservatory. Mohammed Fairouz is an emergent composer whose works, deeply rooted in the humanistic tradition, have been widely performed. Ranging from solo and chamber pieces to large-scale choral and orchestral works, his music has been featured at all-Fairouz concerts at The Boston and New England Conservatories. Adam Ackerman's music has attracted the attention of esteemed performers and has been warmly received in concert. Ackerman's music is characterized by a particular ease with which he combines vernacular idioms with sophisticated musical procedures and he draws his inspiration from his hands-on experience as a mountaineer.
